Birthplace: Brazil

BSc in Biology at the Mackenzie University (2004) and PhD in Ecology at the University of São Paulo (2010). In 2012, was awarded with an honorary mention for the best PhD thesis in Biodiversity (Prêmio CAPES de Tese). Currently, she is postdoc at the University of São Paulo and her research focuses on biological, ecological and evolutionary aspects of social bees, providing guidelines for breeding, sustainable use and conservation of these pollinators.
