I hold a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from UNESP (1980), a Masters in Chemistry (Physics and Chemistry) from USP/São Carlos (1985), and PhD in Chemical Engineering from USP/SP (1992). I worked as researcher at the Institute of Chemistry of USP/São Carlos from 1981 to 1983; as researcher at Copersucar Technology Center from 1983 to 1985, and as researcher at Materials Division of the Aeronautics and Space Institute from 1985 to 2013. I was professor of Graduate Program at the Aeronautical Technological Institute in the area of Materials, Manufacturing and Automation from 1992 to 2018. I was Visiting Professor at the Institute of Science and Technology (ICT) of the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP) from 2014 to 2017 (PVNS/CAPES). I was Associate Professor at graduate course in the area of Materials Engineering of the ICT/UNIFESP from 2018 to 06/2019. Currently, I am Titular professor with exclusive dedication at ICT/UNIFESP. I work in the area of Aerospace Engineering, with emphasis on Materials and Processes in Aeronautics and Space Engineering in the areas of polymers, polymer composites, carbonaceous materials, and radar absorbing materials.
