Bachelor in SpeechLanguage Therapy and Audiology at Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (1979), master's in Speech-Language Therapy by Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (1990) and doctorate in Linguistics at Universidade de São Paulo (1995). Associate professor at School of Medicine - Universidade de Sao Paulo. Former president of the Brasilian SLP & A Association (Sociedade Brasileira de Fonoaudiologia - 2006-2009) and member of the International Issues Board of the American Speech-Languagem and Hearing Association (2011 -0 2014). Presently counselor of the Edutation Committee for SLP at The International Association of Communication Sciences and Disorders (IALP). Has experience in Speech Therapy, Former chief-editor of the "Revista da Sociedade Brasileira de Fonoaudiologia", "Jornal da Sociedade Brasileira de Fonoaudiologia" and "CoDAS". Areas of expertize: speech-language pathology; autism; language disorders; diagnostic in language; SLP education. In 2015 received two major awards: the "Premio Merito Fonoaudiológico" by the Sociedade Brasileira de Fonoaudiologia and the "ASHA Fellow" by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association.
