He holds a bachelor's degree in Agro-industrial Production Engineering (1997), a master's degree in Production Engineering (2000) and a doctorate in Production Engineering (2005, with a doctoral internship at the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena - UPCT/Spain) from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar). He is currently Associate Professor 4 at the Production Engineering Department of UFSCar's Sorocaba campus. Furthermore, he has experience in Production Engineering, working mainly in quality engineering, quality coordination in production chains, systems dynamics analysis, product development and assistive technology, engineering education. He is a member of the Quality Studies and Research Group (GEPEQ) at UFSCar's headquarters campus and of the Research Technical Assistance Center (RTAC) of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID/NORC/UChicago).
