Since 2005, Prof. Marafão is with São Paulo State University (UNESP), where he coordinated the undergraduate course in Control and Automation Engineering from 2010 to 2012, as well as actively participated in various boards and commissions of trust. He is a researcher of the Group of Automation and Integrated Systems (GASI), having been its leader from 2007 to 2011 and vice-leader from 2014 to 2016, and he is currently responsible for the research labs of the group. He has educational experience in theoretical courses, such as: Electric Circuits I and II, Power Quality, Power Conditioning, Analysis of Electric Circuits under Non-Sinusoidal and / or Unbalanced Conditions, Smart Grids, Renewable Energies, Distributed Generation, Power Electronics, Scientific Methodology, Innovation and IP Processes; as well as in the laboratories of: Electrical Circuits, Electrotechnical, Electromagnetic Devices, Energy Conversion and Electric Machines for Automation. He has participated as coordinator or member of several R&D&i projects, supported by different research agencies and private companies, with more than 200 published materials in transactions, magazines, newspapers and conferences proceedings. He supervised and coordinated several Ph.D dissertations, master's thesis, scientific initiation and postdoctoral projects. His main areas of interest are smart grids and microgrids, distributed (micro)generation, photovoltaic systems, renewable energies, power quality, and power theories for modern electrical circuits. He is a member of the Brazilian Society of Power Electronics, the Brazilian Society of Automation and the IEEE. From 2015 to 2018, Prof. Marafão was a member of three Technical Committees of the Energy Policy Council of São Paulo State. https://scholar.google.com.br/citations?user=CvKTiysAAAAJ&hl=en&oi=ao (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
