Graduated in Dentistry from UNICAMP, holds a Masters degree in Cariology from UNICAMP, a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from UNICAMP with a sandwich internship at the Forsyth Institute (Boston, USA), and a postdoctoral degree in Immunopharmacology from the Ribeirão Preto Medical School - USP. He has been a CNPq Research Productivity Fellow Level 2 since 2011. Since 2011, he has served as the Director of Postgraduate and Research at São Leopoldo Mandic College, the coordinator of the Professional Masters Program in Dentistry (2011 to present), and the PhD Program in Dental Sciences (2011 to 2019). He was an evaluator of Dentistry undergraduate programs for the Brazilian Ministry of Education (MEC) from 2007 to 2017. Elected as a member of the Advisory Council of SBPqO (2013-2015; 2015-2017; 2017-2019). Winner of the E.H. Hatton Scientific Award (2005 and 2018) granted by the Brazilian division (SBPqO) of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR). Representative of the private higher education institutions segment in the Forum of Pro-Rectors of Postgraduate Studies and Research (FOPROP) from 2018 to 2020, and Southeast regional representative in 2021. Named in the ranking published by the journal *Plos Biology* in 2020 as one of the 100,000 scientists with the most influential careers worldwide. Listed among the top 2 of the most influential scientists in the world in the Elsevier/Stanford 2024 ranking. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
