Graduated in Psychology from Universidade Federal Fluminense (bachelors degree in 1994 and Psychologist Training in 1995), Specialization in Neurobiology from Universidade Federal Fluminense (1994), masters degree in sciences (Human Physiology) from University of São Paulo (1999) and PhD in Sciences (Human Physiology) from the University of São Paulo (2003). Luiz Renato is Adjunct Professor I at Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, where he was vice-coordinator from 2012-2016, and coordinator from 2016 to 2019 of the stricto-sensu Graduate Program in Human Developmental Sciences (Concept 7 by CAPES). He is currently on the Program's self-evaluation committee. He is also a professor of the Psychology course at the Center for Biological and Health Sciences at Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie. 1D Research Productivity Scholarship - CNPq. He was Editor-in-Chief of "Psychology: Theory and Practice" which has Qualis A2 in the period 2012-2016. He is currently Associate Editor. He is also part of the editorial team of Revista Olhares da UNIFESP. He was on the board of directors of the Brazilian Institute of Psychological Assessment (IBAP) from 2013-2015, where he served as treasurer. He was a member of the Supervisory Board of ABECiPsi (Brazilian Association of Scientific Editors of Psychology), management from 2016-2018 and from 2018-2020. He has experience in Psychology, especially in Neuropsychology, with an emphasis on Cognitive and Attentional Processes, working mainly on the following topics: attention and perception, reaction time, cognitive aspects of development and its changes present in ADHD, in other disorders of the neurodevelopment and genetic syndromes. Ad hoc reviewers for the Psychological Test Assessment System (Satepsi) since 2015. Member of the National Science for Education Network (CpE Network) since 2018 and of the GT working group "Cognitive and neuropsychological assessment" from 2014 to 2020 and of the GT " Neuropsychology" since 2021 from the National Association of Research and Postgraduate Studies in Psychology (ANPEPP).
