DDS degree obtained from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1990), MSc (1994) and PhD (1998) in Periodontology obtained from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho. Pos-doctoral training in Cell and Molecular biology at the University of Michigan (2003-2005, 2007 and 2008) and in Tumor Immunology at the Medical University of South Carolina (2008). Currently in a position of Associate Professor, Department of Diagnosis and Surgery - School of Dentistry at Araraquara, Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP). Former director (2013-2017) and currently Mentor of the MSc and PhD Graduate Programs in Dentistry, School of Dentistry at Araraquara, Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP). Research interests are focused on Molecular and Cell Biology, with emphasis on: cell signaling, periodontal disease, inflammation, immune response, bone resorption, oral cancer, tumor immunology.
