Holds a degree in Pharmaceutical Biochemistry from the University of Ribeirão Preto (1992), a master's and doctorate from the Postgraduate Program in Biotechnology at the Institute of Chemistry of the São Paulo State University "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" (UNESP) (2000/2004), and a postdoctoral degree from the Clinical Mycology Laboratory of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of UNESP in Araraquara. Teaches in the Pharmacy and Bioprocess and Biotechnology Engineering courses at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of UNESP in Araraquara and is accredited in the Postgraduate Program in Biosciences and Biotechnology Applied to Pharmacy and in the Professional Master's Program in Biomaterials and Bioprocess Engineering at FCF UNESP. She completed internships at various institutions, both national and international. She was Vice-Director of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences from 2017 to 2020 and supervisor of the Auxiliary Unit of the Community Service Center of FCF UNESP in Araraquara from 2020 to 2024. She was vice-coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Biosciences and Biotechnology Applied to Pharmacy at the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of UNESP. She has experience in the field of pharmacy, with an emphasis on mycology/microbiology, molecular biology and cell biology, mainly working on the following topics: fungus-host interaction, bioprospecting of substances with antimicrobial activity, pathogenesis and resistance mechanisms of mono- and multi-species biofilms, and alternative methods to animal experimentation. She has supervised master's, doctoral and undergraduate research students and supervised postdoctoral internships. She has given lectures, conferences, and participated in roundtables at national and international events. She has coordinated projects funded by FAPESP and CNPq, and collaborated on projects funded by FINEP and INCT.
