Débora C Damasceno holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a major in Biomedical Sciences at São Paulo State University - Unesp (1993), Master in Biological Sciences at Unesp (1996), Ph.D.(2000) and postgraduate (2008) with degrees from the Post-graduation Course in Gynecology, Obstetrics and Mastology of Botucatu Medical School/Unesp. Currently is a researcher in the Gynecology and Obstetrics Department of Botucatu Medical School-Unesp, awarded with a CNPq Research Productivity Scholarship. She presents expertise in diabetes and pregnancy using laboratóry animals. She is member of the CNPq Group of Clinical and Experimental Research in Diabetes and Pregnancy, and leads the Oxidative Stress and Birth Defect Group. She is a faculty mentor for the Post-graduate Course in Tocogynecology of Botucatu Medical School. Most frequent keywords in published articles are: rat, pregnancy, streptozotocin, diabetes, oxidative stress, exercise, free radicals, fetal programming, and congenital malformation. She has collaboration with international institutions such as the Universidad de San Pablo_Spain; Havana/Cuba; Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Médicas y Nutrición Salvador Zubirán_Ciudad de Mexico, Mexico, and Universidad de Valparaíso, Chile. She has conducted scientific studies with financial support of FAPESP and CNPq, and teachs undergraduate, graduate (Master?s and Ph.D.), and supervises postgraduate students with scholarships granted by FAPESP, CNPq and CAPES.
