John Bernhard Kleba is Associate Professor IV at the Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica, São José dos Campos, São Paulo, where he teaches in the areas of Sociology and Political Science and coordinates the LabCTS - Laboratory of Citizenship and Social Technologies (https://www.labcts .org/). His research interests include Science and Technology Studies (STS); Citizenship and Engaged Technologies (Engaged Engineering); Engineering Education; and Ethics, Policy and Normativity. Prof. Kleba holds a master's degree in Political Sociology from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (1992), a Ph.D. in Social Sciences from the University of Bielefeld, Germany - funded by CAPES (2000), and a Post-Doctorate in Socio-Legal Studies - supported by CNPq (2011) and a Post-Doctorate in Ethics, Law and Public Affairs - sponsored by FAPESP (2014), both at the University of Warwick, England. Prof. Kleba worked as a fellow researcher at the Research Center on European Environmental Law, FEU, and the Information Center on Human Rights and Development in Bremen, Germany (2000-2004). The researcher organized two international congresses (São Paulo, Brazil, and Coventry, England) and conducted several research projects financed by Brazilian and German funding agencies. Among his recent publications, he has co-organized the three volumes of "Engineering and other engaged technical practices" with authors from multiple countries. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
