Since 2002, I?ve been directing a private company named Agropec Pesquisa, Extensão e Consultoria. As such, coordinated the development of more than 50 field tests to evaluate the efficacy of pesticides targeted against apple, peach and grapevine pests. I performed more than 60 pest risk analysis aiming to import plant materials since 2004. I was Lead Auditor and Specialist Auditor in BVQi, auditing growers candidate to certification in Integrated Fruit Production and GlobalGAP (formerly EurepGAP). I was consultant of the project ?Inovação Tecnológica para Defesa Agropecuária? and coordinated the development of RIT DA Rede de Inovação Tecnológica para Defesa Agropecuária (www.inovadefesa.com.br), of the Diretório de Expertise em Defesa Agropecuária (www.inovadefesa.com.br) and the organization of the II Conferência Nacional sobre Defesa Agropecuária, that brought more than 1,800 professionals from all over the country to discuss plant and animal health and inspection. Organized more than 25 workshops on pesticide regulation in Brazil, involving all federal and state regulatory organisms. Was consultant of INGAL in the Project Armonización de Normas y Procedimientos Veterinarios y Fitosanitarios, Inocuidad de Alimentos y Producción Agropecuaria Diferenciada. I was a short term consultant of the Programa de Capacitación en Análisis de Riesgo de Plagas en Sanidad Vegetal, that involves seven Centroamerican countries in the discussion of potential economic impacts of exotic pests. In the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, I was responsible for consolidating the legislation applied in Plant and Animal Protection and Inspection, as well as mapping step by step the procedures adopted by the state sanitary authority (2012). Since 2013, I?ve been working in the development of multimedia resources on quarantine and non-quarantine organisms to the Associação Nacional de Defesa Vegetal as well as a website that brings information on more than 250 pests (www.defesavegetal.net). In 2014, I was named Projects Coordinator in Biofábrica Moscamed Brazil, a mass rearing facility of sterile fruit flies SIT application and biocontrol organisms.
