Principal advisor for 21 graduate students (8 PhD), and supervisor for 3 post doctoral researchers. Coordinator of the Nutrition and Public Helath Graduation Program at the FSP-USP (2013-1015). Vice President of the Graduation Comitte at School of Public Health - USP. Deputy chief at Nutrition Department, member of the Nutrition Department Consil, and School of Public Health Counsil. Member of the Brazilian Society of Foods and Nutrition, Brazilian Society of Bone Metabolism and Evaluation. Contributor editor at Nutrition Reviews, referee of Clinical Nutrtition, Annals of Nutrition and Metabolism, Journal of Nutrition, Nutrition Research, Nutrition, Osteoporosis International, Cadernos de Saúde Pública. Has focused much of his work over the last 15 years in investigating the mechanisms related to nutrition and bone metabolism, inlcuding vitamin D and calcium metabolism, calcemic hormones, dietary assessment and nutritional biomarkers.
