Paulo Celso da Silva

Since 2001 I have been developing research projects addressing public policies of techno-communicational scope in smartcity: mainly in the project 22@barcelona in the field of Geographies of communication. I also complete a post doctorate in the Geography department of the Universitat de Barcelona based on Smartcity issues (2017-2020). I finished my PhD in 2000 and Master in 1995, both at the Geography Department of the University of São Paulo. I studied Geography (1987) and Philosophy (1989) at Faculdade de Filosofia Ciências e Letras de Sorocaba. In 2012 I developed at UERJ, as a Post Doctorate, work of analysis of the intellectual production of Dr. Milton Santos and its application/relation to Communication. Since 1995 as a full professor at the University of Sorocaba and, from 2006 in the Postgraduate Program in Communication and Culture. The projects and researches are inserted in the Research Line Media and Sociocultural Practices, and involve the areas of Communication, Media, City, Geography, Philosophy, Music with emphasis on Communication, acting mainly on the following themes: Smartcity, communication and city, geography of communication, media and urban social movements, music and public policies.
