I hold a degree in Medical Physics from the University of São Paulo (2005), as well as an M.Sc. (2008) and a Ph.D. (2012) in Physics Applied to Medicine and Biology from the University of São Paulo. I was a postdoctoral researcher at the Brain Institute of UFRN (2012-2016) and a visiting researcher at RWTH Aachen University, Germany (2016). I served as an Assistant Professor at the Edmond and Lily Safra International Institute for Neuroscience - Santos Dumont Institute (2016-2019) and as a Research Fellow at the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences of the University of Coimbra (2019-2025), Portugal. Currently, I am a Visiting Professor at the Graduate Program in Bioinformatics (IMD - UFRN), as a CNPq "Conhecimento Brasil - Atração e Fixação de Talentos" fellow. My academic interest is centered on understanding the mechanisms underlying human visual processing and the development of clinical decision support systems (CDSS), seeking to integrate medical image processing, neuroscience, and artificial intelligence.
