.Degree in Veterinary Medicine at Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (1985), master's degree in Pharmacology at the State University of Campinas (2000) and Ph.D. in Biochemical Pharmaceutical Technology at University of São Paulo (2005). At Butantan Institute was Scientific Researcher V, from 1987 to 2007, developing projects geared towards technological development of serums and vaccines. Worked as Quality Assurance Director in the 2003-2007 period. Since April 2007 is Professor in the Department of Biochemical and Pharmaceutical Technology, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at University of São Paulo. Having as line of research the following themes: a) development processes in serums and vaccines (upstream and downstream process); b) validation of biotechnological processes and quality control of biological products; c) studies on adjuvants and delivery systems to vaccines and antigens for the production of antisera, d) applied to cell culture production of viral vaccines and cytotoxicity assays and e) synthesis of recombinant protein cell free. At the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at USP is responsible for Immunobiology and Biopharmaceuticals Laboratory and professor at the graduation of the disciplines: "Supervision and Quality Assurance" and "Sera and Vaccines Technology". In post-graduate classes teaches the course "Strategies and Managements Pharmaceutical and Biotechnological Processes". In 2008 to became adviser ad hoc FAPESP, in 2009 became part of the Committee Technical Thematic in Biological Products of the Brazilian Pharmacopoeia at ANVISA, from 2012 to 2013 was a member of the Committee Board on Global Health, Institute of Medicine of The National Academies of Science in Washington (USA) and February 23, 2013 came to occupy the chair number 17 of the National Academy of Pharmacy. And in July 2014 he became a full member of the National Council for Animal Experiments Control - CONCEA / CNPq. In 2016 he received Productivity Scholarship in Technological Development and Innovative extension DT-2015. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
