Birthplace: Brazil

Graduated in Chemistry from UNESP (1995), with a Master's and Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the Institute of Chemistry at UNESP, including a doctoral research period at the University of York (UK). He completed two postdoctoral fellowships: one in Inorganic Chemistry at the Centre d'Elaboration de Matériaux et d'Etudes Structurales (CEMES, France) and another in Physical Chemistry at the Institute of Chemistry at UNESP, funded by FAPESP.He has extensive experience in Biomaterials and Materials applied to biotechnology and bioenergy, with a particular focus on the use of magnetic nanoparticles as supports for biocatalysts in biofuel production. His research also includes the development of catalysts for ethanol steam reforming and the production of renewable hydrocarbons (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil - HVO).He served as the Director of the Advanced Campus of the Federal University of Alfenas (UNIFAL) in Poços de Caldas, playing a key role in implementing the Entrepreneurial University model and fostering strategic partnerships with the regional industrial sector. Currently, he is a professor in the Department of Analytical, Physical, and Inorganic Chemistry at the Institute of Chemistry, UNESP, Araraquara campus. He coordinates the Laboratory of Magnetic Materials and Colloids (LAMMC) and the Center for Monitoring and Research of Fuel, Biofuel, Petroleum, and Derivatives Quality (CEMPEQC/IQ-UNESP) (link), a laboratory certified under ISO 17025. He was the coordinator of the Rota 2030 project, titled Independent Ethanol Injection System in Compression Ignition Engines: Performance and Emissions Evaluation. He is also the founder and coordinator of the Laboratory of Radiochemical Analyses (LARAD/IQ-UNESP).Currently, he serves as President of the Specialization Committee of Graduate Studies (CEPG) at the UNESP Graduate Studies Provost (PROPG) and as Deputy Coordinator of the Alquimia Science Communication Center (YouTube).
