Degree in Chemistry from UNESP (1995); Master in Physical Chemistry (Institute of Chemistry-UNESP); PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of York (England) and the Institute of Chemistry (UNESP); Post-doctorate in Inorganic Chemistry at the Center d'Elaboration de Matériaux et d'Etudes Structurales, CEMES (France); Post-Doctorate (FAPESP) in Physical Chemistry at IQ (UNESP). He has experience in the field of Biomaterials and Materials applied in biotechnology and bioenergy. He also works in the use of magnetic nanoparticles as supports for biocatalysts applied in the production of biofuels. He was director of the Advanced Campus of the Federal University of Alfenas (UNIFAL) in Poços de Caldas where he acted as an interlocutor in several entrepreneurship actions and partnerships with the productive sector in the region. At UNIFAL he helped to implement the Entrepreneurial University model. He is currently a professor at the Department of Analytical, Physical-Chemistry and Inorganic Chemistry at the Institute of Chemistry at UNESP, Araraquara Campus. He is the coordinator for the academy and organizer of the national debate cycle www.motordofuturo.com.br that proposes the implementation of the new Ethanol cycle. He is coordinator of the Fuel, Biofuel, Oil and Derivatives Quality Monitoring and Research Center (CEMPEQC / IQ-UNESP) https://www.iq.unesp.br/#!/cempeqc/, ISO17025 certified laboratory for in fuels. He is coordinator of the Rota2030 project entitled: ?Independent ethanol injection system in compression ignition engines: performance and emissions evaluation?.
