Aline C. Soterroni is a mathematician graduated by the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2004), and holds a master degree (2007) and a doctor degree (2012) in Computer Science from the National Institute for Space Research (INPE). Her current research topics are mostly related to land-use change modeling focused on reconciling environmental preservation with agriculture production. She is also interested in degraded land restoration, biodiversity impacts, climate change mitigation, land use policies and other policy efforts, such as supply chain agreements. She has also worked on the development of new optimization methods based on the q-derivative for continuous global optimization problems. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
