Undergraduate degree in Agronomy from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFScar, 1999), master's degree (2002) and a PhD (2006) in Agronomy (Soils and Plant Nutrition) from the University of São Paulo (ESALQ / USP). Completed part of his doctorate abroad at the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela (USC-Spain, 2005). Served as an Adjunct Professor at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) from 2006 to 2012. Since 2013, Dr. Tiago Osório Ferreira is a Professor in the Department of Soil Science at the University of São Paulo (ESALQ / USP). He has a CNPq productivity scholarship level 1D. He is vice-coordinator of an extension course in Environmental Management and Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Soils and Plant Nutrition at ESALQ-USP. Since 2014, Dr. Tiago Osório Ferreira has been a representative of the Department of Soil Science at the Undergraduate Commission and is a member of the coordinating committee for the Environmental Management course at ESALQ-USP. He is member of the editorial board of the following journals: Revista Ciência Agronômica, Revista Scientia Agricola and Revista Ciência, Tecnologia e Ambiente, ad-hoc advisor in funding agencies (CNPq, INSA, FACEPE, FAPESP), as well as reviewer of national and international scientific journals. Dr. Tiago Osório Ferreira has extensive experience in agronomy, soil science, working mainly on the following areas: soil genesis, soil geochemistry, pedogenesis, soil biogeochemistry of estuarine environments and coastal wetlands. He advised 96 graduate students, supervised 4 postdoctoral researchers, and advised several undergraduate students (for research, teaching, and extension). He is currently supervising 4 postdoctoral researchers, 7 doctoral students, 2 undergraduate students, and 1 student in an extension project. He coordinates the research group GEPGEOQ (Group of study and research of soils geochemistry; dgp.cnpq.br/dgp/espelhogrupo/3686458312715078, https://www.instagram.com/gepgeoq), which has strong international collaborations with the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela (Spain), Oregon State University (USA), Southern Cross University (Australia), University of California (USA), Texas AM University (USA) and North Carolina State University (USA).
