Bachelor's at Mechanical Engineering from Universidade Federal de Itajubá (1987), master's at Mechanical Engineering from Universidade Federal de Itajubá (1990) and doctorate at Mechanical Engineering from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1994). He is currently full professor at Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP). Has experience in Power Engineering, focusing on Power Engineering, acting on the following subjects: cogeneration, rational use of energy and water, modeling of energy systems and natural resources, thermoeconomic analysis, synergic technologies for water-food-energy nexus (address: jose.perrella@unesp.br ).
