Graduated in Bachelor of Chemistry from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Julio de Mesquita Filho (1982) and Ph.D. in Chemistry (Analytical Chemistry) [Sp-Capital] at the University of Sao Paulo (1991). She is a retired associated professor ( Analytical Chemistry) at the Chemistry Institute of Universidade Estadual Paulista Julio de Mesquita Filho. Her areas of expertise include: Environmental Chemistry (solid waste, sewage sludge, organic pollutants in the water and atmosphere), Analytical Chemistry (chromatographic al techniques), Environmental Health (human exposure to endocrine disrupters and carcinogenic and / or mutagenic substances) , Occupational Hygiene (chemical agents).
