Graduated in Biomedical Sciences from FMRP-USP (1970); Master in Pharmacology from FMRP-USP (1973) and PhD in Pharmacology from FMRP-USP (1975); Postdoctoral fellow at the Laboratory of Dr. Solomon Snyder - Department of Pharmacology - Johns Hopkins Medical School - MD-USA (1980) and Dr. Juan M. Saavedra - National Institute of Mental Health, MD-USA (1981) and Full Professor at the Department of Pharmacology at FMRP-USP (1994 - 2024). He is currently a Professor Emeritus of the Department of Pharmacology at FMRP-USP (2024 - ) and supervisor at the Graduate Program in Pharmacology at FMRP-USP. Presently is a member of the Program's Coordinating Committee. He has experience in the area of Pharmacology, with an emphasis on Neuropsychopharmacology, working mainly on the following topic: study of central control of blood pressure and cardiovascular correlates associated with stress.
