Associate Professor at Universidade Federal do ABC (UFABC). Obtained B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Physics from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1989-2001), including an internship period at Centro Atómico Bariloche (Argentina) with FAPESP scholarships. Performed post-doctorate research at Ames National Laboratory/Iowa State University (2001-2003) funded by the United States Department of Energy (USDOE) and at Hiroshima University (2003-2008), funded by the Japan Society for Promotion of Science (JSPS). Present vice-coordinator of the UFABC Physics Graduate Program (PPG-Fisica). Former vice-coordinator and coordinator of the UFABC Innovation Agency, between 2010-2014, member of the Education, Research and Outreach Superior Council (ConsEPE), Center for Natural and Human Sciences Council (ConsCCNH) and Graduate Program in Physics Council (PPG-Fïsica). Founder and leader of the Quantum Materials Group (GMQ) focused in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics, with emphasis on Emergent Quantum States in Advanced Materials: design and discovery of novel materials exhibiting strongly correlated electrons, thermoelectricity, magnetism, superconductivity and quantum criticality.
