I have a degree in medicine from the University of Medicine of São Paulo (2000), a PhD in Medicine from the University of São Paulo (2009) and a postdoctoral degree from the University of Glasgow (2013). I am currently an assistant physician in the Discipline of Rheumatology at HCRP-FMRP-USP and at the Rehabilitation Center at HCRP-FMRP-USP University of São Paulo, an activity to which I dedicate myself full time. Since 2009 I have contributed to the training of new professionals - whether in teaching medicine and physiotherapy students, residents in internal medicine and rheumatology, or in training new researchers, such as undergraduate, master's and doctoral students. As preceptor of the medical residency in Rheumatology at the HCRP of FMRP-USP, I contributed to the training of 55 residents. As a graduate supervisor, I have completed the supervision of 3 students and currently have 9 regular masters and doctoral students. My lines of research are: HLA, rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, cDNA microarrays, gene expression by RT-PCR and microRNAs, NETs (Neutrophil extracellular traps) in autoimmune diseases and inflammation in the 2019 novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
