Bachelor of Social Sciences, Master in Social Anthropology from the University of São Paulo (USP) and PhD in Social Sciences from the State University of Campinas (Unicamp). He is researcher and seminary coordinator at the Brazilian Center for Analysis and Planning (Cebrap) and editor of the Plato: drugs and politics, scientific magazine of the Brazilian Platform for Drug Policy. He is also a founding member of the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies on Psychoactive (Neip). His main field of academic activity is studies on psychoactive drugs, under various aspects (socio-cultural, medical, political, among others), being the author and organizer of several works on the subject.
