Amanda Dourado Souza Akahosi Fernandes

Adjunct Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) and in the Postgraduate Program in Occupational Therapy at UFSCar (PPGTO). She participates in the following research groups: a) Occupational Therapy and Mental Health; b) Arvorecer - Mental health of children, adolescents and young people: daily life, autonomy and sociocultural participation from the perspective of psychosocial care and occupational therapy; and c) Center for Public Policies in Mental Health NUPPSAM (CNPq). She holds a degree in Occupational Therapy from UFSCar (2011), a master's degree (2014) and a doctorate (2019) in Occupational Therapy from PPGTO. Post-doctoral studies at UFRJ/IPUB/PROPSAM (2024). She is a member of the National Network for Research in Mental Health of Children and Adolescents, created in 2020. She works with research, teaching and outreach from the perspective of mental health and psychosocial care with children and adolescents experiencing psychological distress and their families.
