Biologist with master's degree and Ph.D. in Genetics and Molecular Biology in the State University of Campinas. Researcher in Bioinformatics since 2013, with a strong background in molecular evolution, comparative genomics and big-data analysis. I currently manage and participate in comparative genomics and transcriptomics projects in an evolutionary view to identify possible adaptations in phenotypic traits of interest. My main work is focused on yeast traits important for bioethanol production, but I'm also working on the evolution of pathogenic traits in bacteria and fungi and disease-related traits in the human genome.
