Eniuce Menezes de Souza received her B.S. degrees in Mathematics (2001) and her M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Cartographic Science (2004; 2008) from São Paulo State University (UNESP) in time-series modeling and estimation methods for positioning by artificial satellites. She is an Associate Professor at Department of Statistics at State University of Maringa (UEM) and a permanent member of the Graduate Program in Biostatistics (UEM) and of the Applied Mathematics and Computational Graduate Program at UNESP, Brazil. She is also the head of the Multiscale Analysis and Wavelets Committee of the Brazilian Society of Computational and Applied Mathematics. Currently, she is developing a pos-doc project at Advanced Visualization & Geoinformatics Laboratory - VIZLab/UNISINOS sponsord by PETROBRAS. Her research involves multiscale/multiresolution analysis, wavelets, time series statistical modeling, signal quality improvement, GNSS signal processing, multipath and ionospheric scintillation. More than ever, the continuous monitoring of large structures is essential. Among the monitoring systems, the GPS has being pointed out. However, depending on the structure, installing a GPS receiver can be really difficulty, mainly under risk of collapse. Thus, the method of this research aims to monitor a structure, without the need of installing a receiver directly in the structure, ...
The research of ionospheric scintillation, caused by fluctuations in amplitude and phase of an electromagnetic signal when it passes throw irregularities in ionosphere electronic density, has being very important in Ionosphere and Satellite Positioning areas. This is due to the growing influence of GPS in navigation and remote sensing. Also by the fact of scintillation severely degrade...
