emphasis on Cancer at the University of Cincinatti, USA, under the supervision of Prof. James A. Fagin. She was responsible for implementing the FCM Cancer Molecular Genetics Laboratory in 1997. Advisor to the Dean of Graduate Studies and the Vice-Dean of International Relations in the 2014-2017 administration at UNICAMP, having coordinated the Student Mobility Program - Science without Borders in this period. Among the various awards received are the Zeferino Vaz Award for academic recognition granted by UNICAMP in 2017, the LATS 2011 award granted by the Latin American Thyroid Society to researchers who have significantly contributed to the development of scientific research in Latin America, and the SBEM 2020 Thyroid Department Leadership and Research Award. She was a co-editor of the Brazilian Archives of Endocrinology, Endocrine-Related Cancer, and Frontiers in Endocrinology, and is currently a Section Editor of Helyion Cancer Research. She has published more than 200 articles in journals with selective editorial policies and has written several book chapters and articles for scientific dissemination. She has been the editor of six books, including three international books, one published in English, and two in Spanish. The book Manual Prático de Thyroide has already been republished four times, one of which is a Spanish version. She worked on several guidelines for thyroid disease at the Society of Brazilian Endocrinology and Metabolism (SBEM) and the Association of Brazilian Medicine (AMB). She was the main advisor of several Scientific Initiation projects for undergraduate and high school students, 33 masters, and 22 doctorates, having already supervised five researchers in Post-Doc projects. She is part of the INCT-TERANANO management committee.
