Valeria Cristina Pereira da Silva

Valéria Cristina Pereira da SILVA holds a PhD in Geography from the São Paulo State University-UNESP-Presidente Prudente-SP. She holds a post-doctorate in Cinema and the City from the Sorbonne Université - Paris 3 (2023) and a post-doctorate in Spatiality, Ontology and Literature from the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (2019). She holds a PhD (2008) and a Master's degree (2002) and a degree (1999) in Geography from the São Paulo State University-UNESP-Presidente Prudente-SP. At this institution, she received a Diploma of Academic Merit (1999) and the title of best thesis (2008). She has been an associate professor IV at the Federal University of Goiás-UFG, at the Institute of Socio-Environmental Studies since 2010. She worked as a collaborating professor at the Faculty of Information and Communication-UFG in the disciplines of Image Studies and History of Cinema (2016-2018). She is a member of the Postgraduate Program in Geography-PPGEO/IESA (2011) where she supervises works in the lines of Geography of Art, Image and Imagination of the City, Urban Memory, Culture and Heritage. She is also a permanent member of the Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Program in Arts, Cultures and Technologies - PPGACT (2021) linked to the Faculty of Visual Arts - FAV-UFG and works in the line of Cultural Performances. She was an adjunct professor at the Federal University of Tocantins-UFT (2002 to 2010). She is the author of the book: Palmas, the last projected capital of the 20th century: a city in search of time (2010) published by Cultura Acadêmica; organizer of the book Imaginary Representations of Nature (2013) published by Appris. She is the author of scientific articles and book chapters related to the following themes: Image and Imagination of the City, Contemporary Urban Sensitivities, Temporalities, Postmodernity, Phenomenological Studies and Ontology of Space. Semiotic Studies of the Landscape and Geography of Art. She is the author of children's literature with the book Em asas de Borboletas e em bubbles de Sabão (2013) published by Editora Paulinas and author of the poetry books Estrelário by Amazon. A casa da Poesia (Delicata) and Azul, Violeta e Violino (Mondru). She was editor-in-chief of the Revista Terceiro Incluído from 2016 to 2023. She is also a member of NPTI- Center for Research and Theory of Image - FIC - Faculty of Information and Communication of UFG and a member of the Research Network in Geography, Tourism and Literature - Entremeio.m She is the Founder and coordinator of the Study Group on Imaginary, Landscape and Transculturality GEIPaT registered with CNPq and linked to the International Network for Studies of the Imaginary - Centre de Recherches Internationales sur lImaginaire- CRI2i.
