Senior lecturer in the Department of Sociology at the University of São Paulo. She has a degree in Social Sciences from the University of São Paulo, a master's degree in Political Science (USP) and a doctorate in Sociology (USP). In the Graduate Program in Sociology (PPGS-USP), she is linked to the research line "cities, interactions, inequalities and socio-spatial (i)mobilities". She coordinates the research group City and work. Themes: urban practices, trajectories and their territories; ways of governing popular territories, frictions, disputes, conflicts; transnational migrations and urban circuits of spatial mobilities; urban illegalisms, informal and illegal land and labor markets** As a result of six years of research carried out in partnership with the Institut de Recherche pour le Developpement (CNPq-IRD Agreement), she published, co-authored with Robert Cabanes, "Nas tramas da cidade: urban trajectories and their territories" (São Paulo: Humanitas, 2006). This research also led to the book A cidade nas fronteiras do legal e ilegal (The city on the borders of the legal and illegal) (Belo Horizonte: Editora Fino Traço, 2011). As a result of research carried out within the framework of a Franco-Brazilian agreement (USP-AIRD), of which she was also the coordinator, she published, in collaboration with Gabriel Kessler and Christian Azais, "Illegalisms, city and politics" (Belo Horizonte: Editora Fino Traço, 2012).***She was the coordinator of the Brazilian team of a Franco-Brazilian cooperation program (Capes-Cofecub Agreement, 2007-2011), with the project "Urban, national and transnational trajectories, circuits and networks and their impact on democratic institutional architecture", composed of researchers from USP, Unicamp and the Center for the Study of Violence (NEV) and, on the French side, the Centre Interdisciplinaire de Recherches Urbaines et Sociologiques (CIRUS-CERS, Université de Toulouse II) and the Centre d'Analyse et d'Intervention Sociologiques (CADIS-EHESS, Paris). The French coordinator was Angelina Peralva (Toulouse II). As a result, we coordinated the book "Illegalisms in globalization: work, migrations, markets (RJ: Editoria UFRJ, 2015)Recent projects: Conflict management in the production of the contemporary city, Fapesp Thematic Project (2014-2018).
