He is currently Professor of Department of Pharmacology of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences at USP (2009-). Contributed in the field of Pharmacology and Neuroscience with emphasis on aging and signalling cascade linked to degenerative diseases by introducing new knowledge in studies of adaptive responses associated with hormesis and cognition involving cardiotonic steroids, glucocorticoids, Klotho protein, and glutamate.
