I have a degree in Pharmacy and Biochemistry from Faculdade de Farmácia e Odontologia de Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo - USP (1982), currently called Faculdade de Ciências Farmacêuticas de Ribeirão Preto, USP. Master's degree in Biological Sciences (Biochemistry) by Faculdade de Medicina de Ribeirão Preto, Universidade de São Paulo (1986) and a PhD in Biochemistry by the same Institution (1991). Post-doctorate in Cell Biology (1992/1993). Associate Professor at Universidade de São Paulo, Departamento de Biologia of Faculdade de Filosofia, Ciências e Letras de Ribeirão Preto (2008). Full Professor at Universidade de São Paulo, at Departamento de Biologia of Faculdade de Filosofia, Ciências e Letras de Ribeirão Preto (2018). President of the Research Committee of FFCLRP-USP and Vice-President of the Internal Biosafety Commission of FFCLRP-USP. I have experience in the field of Cell Biology, Microbiology, Bioprocesses, Biochemistry and Enzymology. I mainly work with the following topics: filamentous fungi, Aspergillus, lipases, amylases, xylanases and other enzymes that act in the plant cell wall degradation.
