Mechanical Engineer from the Polytechnic School of USP (EPUSP-1983), Master in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic School of USP (1989) DEA and Docteur en Mécanique from the Université Joseph Fourier, France (1990 and 1992), Livre Docente from EPUSP (2002). Visiting Researcher at Cranfield University, UK (2002-2003) and Visiting Professor at the Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble, France (2007-2008). Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the USP Polytechnic School, between 1984 and 2022, when he retired from academia. He coordinated the Dynamics and Instrumentation Laboratory (Ladin EPUSP) between 2000 and 2012, where he developed research and innovation in Vibration Analysis, Industrial Acoustics and Magnetic Non-Destructive Testing. He founded and coordinated the Acoustics and Environment Laboratory (EPUSP - Lacmam) between 2011 and 2022, developing research and technology in underwater, terrestrial and infrasound acoustics. He participated in and coordinated dozens of academic research projects and in cooperation with companies. He supervised 15 master's theses, 11 doctoral theses and supervised 7 post-doctorates. He has published dozens of papers in international journals and holds 3 patents. He currently develops research and technology in Underwater and Terrestrial Acoustics and collaborates on environmental monitoring projects, on these topics. He is Senior Professor at Marine Biology Center (CEBIMar-USP) and the RDI coordinator at Proscenium Acústica and Director at Bunin Tecnology and Environmental.
