Graduate in Physics from Universidad Nacional de Ingenieria of Peru(1967), Master in Geophysics from Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais-Brazil (1969) and PhD in Physics from the University of California - Berkeley (1973). Has experience in Space Geophysics, acting on the following subjects: Magnetic reconnection, magnetospheric and interplanetary physics, dynamics of geomagnetic storms, solar and interplanetary origin of geomagnetic storms,solar wind-magnetosphere coupling and Earth's magneosphere.
