Bachelor in Chemistry, Master in Sciences and Doctor in Physical-Chemistry at the State University of Campinas, Brazil. Has been a posdoctoral fellow at the Unitè de Bioinformatique Structurale of the Institut Pasteur in Paris, and at the State University of Campinas. Currently is adjunct professor at the Institute of Chemistry of the State University of Campinas. Works with protein modeling, particularly molecular dynamics simulations, and the application of numerical optimization methods to problems in computational chemistry and biochemistry.
