I am currently a postdoc researcher with outstanding academic record. Interest in the key aspects of the environmental and analytical chemistry. Good understanding of a broad spectrum of water and wastewater degradation processes and tools, along with the ability to identify parameters affecting degradation processes. Motivation to learn and apply new techniques in lab. I have problem-solving, analytical, and quantitative skills. I communicate persuasively both orally and in writing in English and in Portuguese with basic proficiency in Spanish as a plus. I am highly motivated and creative, and enjoy working independently as well as in a team. I have professional attitude and service orientation and team spirit. Ability to follow instructions from supervisors. Focus on photochemistry, environmental chemistry and advanced oxidation processes for water treatment with following topics: Mass spectrometry for identification and structure elucidation; reactive oxygen species; metal ion complexation; organic compound degradation; direct and indirect photolysis; UV-vis, solar and gamma radiations; solid phase extraction (SPE), HPLC, metal adsorption onto peat and design of experiments (response surface methods). Experience with Agilent 1100 HPLC and Shimadzu UFLC/HPLC; UV/visible spectroscopy (Varian Cary 50); Excitation-Emission Matrix spectroscopy (FluorMax-4) and Shimadzu carbon analyzer (TOC 5000A). Preliminary experience/knowledge in Shimadzu LCMS-IT-TOF (LC-20AD with an electrospray ionization source). Skill in oral presentation: American Chemical Society National Meeting & Exposition; International Conference on Advanced Oxidation Technologies for Treatment of Water, Air and Soil; International Water Association (IWA) Specialty Conference; Congresso Iberoamericano de Processos Oxidativos Avançados. Computer skills: a) Origin® (OriginLab); b) Design-Expert® (Stat-Ease); c) ChemSketch; d) MS Office. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
