Graduated in chemistry from the University of São Paulo, master in physico-chemistry from the University of São Paulo, PhD in physico-chemistry from the University of São Paulo, associate Professor of analytical chemistry from the University of São Paulo and full Professor of chemistry at the University of São Paulo. Internships at the University of Southampton, UK, Loughborough University Technology, UK and University of Oxford, UK. Currently is volunteer professor at the Institute of Chemistry of the São Paulo State University "Julio de Mesquita Filho". Publication of 164 scientific articles, 5 chapters of books, 2 books and 330 papers in annals of scientific congresses. Orientation of 22 doctoral theses, 30 dissertations and 63 scientific initiation works. Development of researches in the areas of analytical chemistry and physico-chemistry in the specialties of Electrochemistry and Electroanalytics. The current research theme is related to sensors, electrochemical detectors coupled with chromatographic techniques and electroanalytical methods in the bioenergy area, with emphasis on biofuels, bioproducts, biomass and biorefineries.
