Birthplace: Brazil

Ana Paula Ramos holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of São Paulo (2005) and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of São Paulo (2005). He completed his PhD in Chemistry (Physical Chemistry) at the University of São Paulo, working on a project involving the growth of calcium carbonate on biomimetic matrices formed by Langmuir-Blodgett thin films of phospholipids and LbL films of polyelectrolytes. During his doctoral studies (April to August 2008), he completed an internship abroad at the University of Bristol, UK, under the supervision of Dr. Fiona Meldrum. He developed a postdoctoral project at the University of São Paulo regarding the influence of different matrices (sol-gel, LB films, LbL films) on the luminescent properties of organic molecules and complexes containing lanthanides, deposited on waveguides, aiming at the development of optical sensors. Shee holds a Associate Professorship from the University of São Paulo. She was Coordinator of the Undergraduate Program in Chemistry - FFCLRP (2016-2018) and Chair of the Undergraduate Committee - FFCLRP (2018-2020). She is the current Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Chemistry - FFCLRP (2024-present) and Vice-Chair of the Research Committee - FFCLRP (2024-present). She was cited in the Stanford University ranking as one of the most influential researchers in the field of Physical Chemistry in the year 2024. She has experience in the formation and surface characterization of colloidal systems, especially nanoparticles and thin films. Her research projects involve the formation of biomimetic matrices containing biominerals, aiming at applications in osteoinductive systems. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
