I hold a bachelor's degree in Biology (2003), a master's (2006) and PhD in Ecology (2019) from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), Brazil. My research interests involve human-nature relations and conservation by communities. I develop research grounded on complex adaptive systems and social-ecological resilience frameworks, encompassing the perspectives of socioecological systems, ecosystem services and nature's contributions to people, ecosystem stewardship. I have international academic experience, and I have 8 years of experience at teaching and consultancy in the fields of Ecology, Environmental Education, Conservation, Sustainability, Biomimicry. I am part of the Community Conservation Research Network (CCRN), based in Canada. I collaborate with the Commons Conservation and Management Group (since 2013) and the Ecosystem Ecology and Management Lab (LEME) at the Environmental Studies and Research Center (NEPAM), Unicamp.
