I am Prof. Dr. André Luis de Jesus Pereira, serving as an adjunct professor in the Physics Department at the Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (ITA-SJ dos Campos). I am also a permanent professor in the postgraduate program in Physics at the Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (ITA) and in the Materials Science program at UFMS. My academic journey includes undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degrees in Physics and Materials Science and Technology from the São Paulo State University (UNESP), supplemented by postdoctoral internships at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain) and ITA.Currently, I focus my research on the preparation and characterization of semiconductor films and nanostructured materials, using advanced techniques such as magnetron sputtering, X-ray diffraction, and Raman spectroscopy. Over the last five years, I have contributed to the publication of 20 articles in indexed journals, notably works in the Physical Review B and the Journal of Physical Chemistry C, accumulating over 488 citations and maintaining an h-index of 15.I lead innovative projects aimed at applications in renewable energy and photocatalysis, with an emphasis on optimizing semiconductor materials to enhance energy efficiency and environmental sustainability. As a CNPq Level 2 productivity scholarship holder, I am involved in research projects funded by national and international development agencies, and I continue to train the next generation of scientists and engineers through the guidance of four master's students and the co-supervision of a doctoral candidate.
