Doctor in Applied Physics (Instituto de Física de São Carlos - USP), Francisco C. B. Maia works chiefly in the experimental area of the Condensed Matter Physics, with enphasis at optics, optics for near-field, nano-optics and vibrational spectroscopy. He has expertise in solid state lasers. In the branch of materials, his research has been focused in conjugated polymers, carbon allotropes and two-dimensional materials - all related to semiconductors.
