Associate professor at the Federal University of Sao Carlos (UFSCar) in the area of Operations Research. PhD in Computer Science and Computational Mathematics at the University of São Paulo - Brazil, under the supervision of Prof. Marcos Arenales and Prof. Jacek Gondzio. Mr. Munari has won the Doctoral Prize "Odelar Leite Linhares" for the best PhD thesis, from the Brazilian Society of Applied and Computational Mathematics. He spent one year as a research visitor at the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia (USA), in collaboration with Prof. Martin Savelsbergh. Research areas: Simplex type methods, interior point methods, column generation technique, cutting plane methods, Dantzig-Wolfe decomposition, Benders decomposition, Operations Research applied to industry and logistics, Vehicle routing problems.
