graduate at Engenharia Mecanica from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1985), master's at Mechanical Engineering from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1988) and ph.d. at Mecanica Aplicada from Politecnico Di Milano (1993). He is currently full professor at Universidade Estadual de Campinas. Has experience in Mechanical Engineering, focusing on General Fundaments of Projects of the Machines, acting on the following subjects: dinâmica de rotores, mancais hidrodinâmicos, rotores, máquinas rotativas and lubrificação hidrodinâmica.
