Grraduated in matallurgical engineering(1966), PhD(1970) and Associate Professor (1997) from University of Sao Paulo. Master's in Industrial Engeneering from Stanford University (1972). Faculty member since 1967 at Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department of the University of Sao Paulo. Has an Indusdtrial experience for 9 years at CBMM as coordinator of developing projetcs for niobium production and marketing, and was the first President of TUPY-TECNORED, a company for devoloping and marketing of self-reducing processes.
