Wanessa Fernanda Altei

Graduated in Pharmacy and Biochemistry from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho - (UNESP, 2007). Master's degree in Organic Chemistry of Natural Products - Chemistry Institute of UNESP, Araraquara (2009). Ph.D. in Science - São Carlos Institute of Physics (2014). Substitute professor of the Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry discipline - Pharmacy and Biochemistry course at UNESP, Araraquara (2015). Post doctorate at the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Laboratory at the Federal University of São Carlos (2015-2019), with a sandwich period at the Weaver Laboratory, Vanderbilt University, United States (2017-2018). Experience in human cell culture and studies of strategies for the development of new antitumor therapies. Works in the field of medicinal chemistry and drug development, biological screening of bioactive compounds, organic chemistry of natural products, cell and molecular biology, in vitro cell assays and radiotherapy. Has experience in isolation, characterization and in vitro studies of extracellular vesicles of cells, production of recombinant proteins, conventional fluorescence microscopy, high content screening, confocal and super resolution, image analysis. Was fellowship of the Internationalization Program at the Federal University of São Carlos - CAPES PrInt - UFSCar, and responsible for the creation of the postgraduate course "Fluorescence technique as an advanced tool in biological sciences: from genetic engineering to drug discovery". Created the extension course "How to transform your images into High Impact Figures". Currently works as associate researcher at Radiotherapy and at the Hospital de Amor de Barretos, where develops cell and molecular biology research applied to radiotherapy. Member of the Ethics and Research Committee and the Scientific Committee (Radiotherapy Department) at the same institution.
