PhD in Sciences in the area of ​​Microbiology with an emphasis on Virology from the University of São Paulo (2014). Graduated in Biological Sciences Medical Modality at the University of Mogi das Cruzes (2005) and began her scientific career at the University of São Paulo, undertaking scientific initiation in Pharmaceutical Sciences in Mycology (2003) and scientific initiation in Biomedical Sciences in Microbiology (2005). She has been doing Postdoc in Microbiology at USP, working mainly in the research of emerging viruses such as West Nile virus, Hantavirus, Influenza A, New Castle Disease and flavivirus. She was Invited as Researcher at the Viral Special Pathogens Branch (VSPB) of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Atlanta, USA, working with research on emerging and re-emerging viruses of worldwide interest, BSL3 / 4 biosafety levels, such as Nipah viruses , Hendra, Sousuga, Marburg and Ebola. She has over 15 years of experience in the areas of biosafety, training, microbiology, ecology and epidemiology, with an emphasis on virology, working mainly on the following themes: biosecurity, emerging and re-merging viruses, field work, collection of biological material from humans and animals, molecular and serological diagnosis of viruses and molecular epidemiology of viruses. From 2009 to 2017 she was the researcher responsible for the BSL3 + biosafety laboratory at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences II / USP. She is co-founder of the EPISaúde Digital Platform, which assists health professionals through technical-scientific aspects in the correct use and management of personal protective equipment, and founder of EPI Bio, a company specialized in training and consultancy in Biosafety.
