I graduated in Agronomy from the University of São Paulo (1985), obtained a master's degree in Genetics and Plant Breeding from the University of São Paulo (1988) and PhD in Plant Production from the Ecole Nationale Superieure Agronomique de Montpellier (1997). Currently, I am a researcher and post-graduate professor of the master's and doctoral courses in Tropical and Subtropical Agriculture of the Agronomic Institute of Campinas. I also hold the position of Director of the Genetic Resources Center of IAC. I have experience in the topic of Diversity of Genetic Resources of different plant species for the purpose of conservation, management, genetic improvement and identification of genes of technological interest, using molecular genetic tools and / or knowledge, such as markers, genomics and differential expression. Currently, I coordinate a project on domestication of the macaúba palm (Acrocomia aculeata) for oil and flour production. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
