- Research Grants
I have a Bachelor's degree in Oceanography at Instituto Oceanográfico of Universidade de São Paulo - IOUSP (2006), a MSc. in Chemical and Geological Oceanography at IOUSP (2009) and a DSc in Oceanography, concentration area Marine Geology, at IOUSP (2013). In 2014, I participated in the IODP Expedition 349 - South China Sea Tectonics as a biostratigraphy specialist. I was a post-doc fellow at IOUSP between 2014-2015 and at Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University in 2015. Nowadays I am a Professor and the Coordinator of the Coastal and Oceanic Systems Graduate course at Centro de Estudos do Mar of Universidade Federal do Paraná. My research focus on the Late Quaternary Paleoceanography, working with multi-proxies. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
The main goal of the following proposal is to better comprehend the SW Atlantic Holocene paleoceanography, focusing on the last 2000 years, through the temperature and salinity (via ´18Osw) estimates based in geochemical proxies application of proxy based (chemical composition of planktonic foraminifera tests: stable isotopes - ´18O e ´13C - and Mg/Ca ratios) obtained in marine sediment...
This study aims the understanding of the productivity changes that occurred in the south-southeastern Brazilian continental margin, during Mid and Late Holocene, through micropalentological (benthic and planktonic foraminifera) and geochemical (stable isotope d13C e d15N in organic matter, and d13C e d18O in benthic foraminifera shells, trace elements contents (i.e. Fe, Ba, Ca)) analy...
The following proposal aims to obtain a grant for a 12 (twelve) month international research stay at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) from the Columbia University (New York, USA), to be developed under the supervision of Dr. Peter deMenocal. The research stay will be developed by the candidate as part of the currently in development project entitled "The SW Atlantic during th...
